College news dominated the headlines.
LSU, playing shorthanded, scored a shocking win at Florida. That cost the Gators any shot at a playoff berth.
Sarah Fuller made headlines, becoming the first woman to score for a power five football team. She made two extra points vs. Tennessee.
Michigan and Ohio State was cancelled, but the Big Ten allowed the Buckeyes to qualify for the Big Ten title game.
There were coaching changes announced as several teams saw their season close. Leaving are Gus Malzahn at Auburn, Love Smith at Illinois and Kevin Sumlin at Arizona.
In college, a good week for Missouri (beat Liberty and Illinois), West Virginia (beat Richmond), Clemson (beat Maryland and Alabama) and Florida State (beat Indiana and Florida)
Derrick Henry ran for 215 yards and two TDs for the Titans. The Bears blew out the Texans. The Chiefs got past the Dolphins.

College basketball has been hampered by Covid postponements. Gonzaga-Baylor would have been special. We did have a good one with Villanova edging Texas.

We have also seen some teams struggle. Kentucky fell to 1-3 with a loss to Georgia Tech. The upsets continued as Wisconsin lost to Marquette.

The NFL saw the Saints clinch a playoff berth with a ninth straight win. The Giants stunned the Seahawks. The Jets continued their losing ways and the Bears dropped a sixth straight.

College basketball got under way. Gonzaga was very impressive putting up 102 on Kansas. Mark Few earned his 600th career win.
Luke Garza showed why he is the Preseason Player of the Year, scoring 41 points while grabbing nine rebonds in a win.
There were upsets too. Villanova lost to Virginia Tech, picked 11th in the ACC preseason poll. San Francisco stunned Virginia, while Richmond upset Kentucky.
Football saw several great performances. Buffalo’s Jaret Patterson ran for 409 yards and eight touchdowns. Tyreek Hill had 269 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Derrick Henry ran for 178 yards and three TDs.

The NBA has made a lot of news Anthony Edwards was the #1 pick in the draft. Donovan Mitchell and Jayson Tatum got max contracts. Free agency saw a ton of moves, including Gordon Haywood going to Charlotte, Montrezl Harrell to the Lakers and on and on.
The Pittsburgh Steelers moved to 10-0 with a win over Jacksonville. 
Northwestern knocked off Wisconsin in the Big Ten.
Danil Medvedev won the ATP Finals in London. Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic missed out on the title match.

Who would have thoughts Michigan and Penn State would ever combine to post a 1-7 football record. Nebraska beat the Nittany Lions, while Wisconsin blew out the Wolverines, so that is where we are.

Notre Dame remained unbeaten in in the hunt for a CFB playoff berth. Ian Book has been the star of stars for the Irish.

The Steelers remained unbeaten. The Ravens were stunned by the Patriots. Kyler Murray hit DeAndre Hopkins on a Hail Mary as the Cardinals beat the Bills.

Congrats to Kevin Cash as AL Manager of the Year. Don Mattingly won in the NL. Jose Abreu was AL MVP while Freddie Freeman won in the NL.
