I hope everyone had a terrific Fourth of July holiday. I enjoyed mine here in Sarasota with my family. We watched the fireworks at the beautiful setting of Selby Gardens along the Sarasota bay.

There was a band, food and all sorts of activities and games for the kids. It was so much fun to watch my five grandkids dance and play around to the music and then watch their eyes stare in amazement as the sky lit up with the beautiful fireworks.

We are so blessed to live in the greatest country in the world - the United States of America, where we enjoy our freedom and the opportunity to pursue our dreams. I certainly wish all the best to our courageous men and women in the Armed Forces that are stationed all across the world to protect our liberties, our people and our nation.

July 8th I was able to share in my oldest grand daughter's (Sydney) 6th birthday. It is hard to believe she is already six - and turning into such a big girl! Boy time flies!
