A few days ago, a new community was unveiled in Lakewood Ranch.  This new, upscale community is called The Lake Club and will showcase some of the most incredible homes you have ever seen.  Roy Dupuis, of Anchor Builders, is a friend (he also was the builder for my personal home)  and he hosted the opening party to showcase his new model home, The Savoy, in The Lake Club.  The Savoy is truly a spectacular home and the craftsmanship is unbelievable.  But, on top of showcasing a beautiful home and community in my area, Lakewood Ranch Communities and Anchor Builders have united efforts to help raise funds for the V Foundation for Cancer Research.  They have used a special 10-week period in which visitors may come in and tour the spectacular model homes while also contributing to the  Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research.   As many of you know, this time of year is extremely hectic for me and I am traveling nearly everyday, but when Roy asked me to speak at his special party to educate the guests on the V Foundation, it was an opportunity I could never refuse.  I am honored to work on behalf of the V Foundation and am always thrilled to spread the message of the incredible work of the Foundation and their research grants - and that is exactly what I did.  In a house filled with people from all around Sarasota and Bradenton, I was able to share the message of my dear, late buddy, Jimmy V, "Don't Give Up...Don't Ever Give Up!".  And as I shared my words with the audience, all through the home, playing on the TV screens, was the video of Jimmy V's famous speech given at the ESPY Awards.  It was during this famous speech in New York City when the official announcement was made as to the creation of the V Foundation for Cancer Research.   It was a special night filled with caring people, like Roy Dupuis and his wife, Carla, who through their success are always looking to give back and lend a helping hand.  I was honored to be there and share in this proud moment for Roy and his entire team at Anchor, but also to help spread the words of Jimmy V.
