"One of my favorite things to do in my off-time is to make the trip from Florida to South Bend, Indiana to take in a Notre Dame home football game on the Notre Dame campus. They are always special because they usually involve spending time with my family and other people that have been very close to me over the years.
For example, this year at the Notre Dame vs. Penn State game in early September and again for the Notre Dame vs. Michigan game later in the month, I made the journey with my daughters, their husbands and my grandchildren. The visit to Notre Dame always included a special luncheon, the ND Pep Rally, walking around campus and visiting the grotto, the basilica and of course, the Golden Dome. It truly is a great feeling to share time with all of the young people on such a dynamic college campus. But of course, the time I enjoy most is taking my five grandchildren throughout the campus to see the sites, the athletic facilities and the band. Visits to Notre Dame in the Fall are among my favorite times with my family and friends."
