What a terrific day at Cooperstown on Sunday.

Six well-deserving additions entered the Baseball Hall of Fame. Congratulations to Joe Torre, Bobby Cox, Tony LaRussa, Frank Thomas, Tom Glavine and Greg Maddux. They were all no-brainers to make it in.

It was truly a special ceremony. I loved listening to Thomas’ emotional speech. It made me think back to the time I saw Thomas in his first at-bat in the minor leagues. It came in Sarasota and I had a feeling he was going to be a special player. I have been fortunate to see a lot of youngsters who made it big in the majors. I remember seeing Derek Jeter and his manager at the time, Jake Gibbs, said that the young man was going to be a superstar. He was so right.

Congrats to the newest members of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Saturday morning I spoke with over 3,000 of It Works! Global’s employees and distributors. The event took place at the Bradenton Convention Center and it was jam packed, the line wrapped around the building as they waited to enter. Everyone donned the companies colors “black, green, and bling”.

Mary and Cindy Pentecost, owners of It Works! Global, along with their daughter Kinsey presented me with a check of $25,000 as a donation to The V Foundation.

I also met and visited with Mike and Tiffany Potillo who donated a generous amount of $50,000 to the 2014 Dick Vitale Gala benefiting The V Foundation for Cancer Research.

I spoke with the group about the importance of enthusiasm and passion, The V Foundation, and tossed signed footballs from the 2014 gala into the crowd. It was a great morning with a great group!

The ESPYs are the sports awards which give athletes and entertainers time to meet up in LA.

This year had a number of special moments. Michael Sam won the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage. The current St. Louis Ram was brave enough to declare he is openly gay.

I was truly touched by Stuart Scott’s speech about his battle against cancer. His seven-year struggle was chronicled as the won the V award for perseverance.

Kevin Durant won Best Male Athlete. MMA star Ronda Rousey won Best Female Athlete. The Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks won Best Team.

Congratulations to all of the winners.

The Wimbledon men’s singles final was a classic. Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer laid it all on the line for almost four hours. It was such a dramatic battle, with Djokovic winning in the fifth set.

I really thought Federer was going to win his record eighth Wimbledon men’s singles title and 18th grand slam championship. Djokovic showed great mental strength in pulling it out.

It was an incredible two weeks of tournament action, with many great matches and surprises. What a way to wrap it up, with a classic final.
